Providing the presence and continuous care of a doula under the intense circumstances in which the Peace Tree Prison Doulas work calls for the highest level of preparation, training, support, and personal nurturing. Behaviors that may be exhibited during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum by survivors of sexual abuse.
